I've never had that much luck but it's definitely works for some, it's never dumb to try and reconnect just remember everyone's changed and you are different people so it may not be the same friendship you remember

Thank you for sharing. Not dropping much here, but the reason I asked was because I went through a breakup recently and wanted to have friends in my area, since most of my friends are still in college.
