
because you do need therapy. when you just joke about it, people take it moreso as you forcing their problems on them rather than asking for help. it’s not funny to them. speaking as someone who used to and still has the same issues. if you want help, you really do just need to ask for it. and people are allowed to say no
They might not take it as you forcing your problems on them, they might just be unsure what to do about it. It’s not easy to know what to say to chronically depressed people. If there is any reason, try to give them grace. Or dump them and raw dog your emotions alone, that’s what I did.
