Using something like litter absorbs moisture and gets real heavy which will dramatically increase transportation and waste disposal costs. It’s more economical for them to apply scented mineral oil to the liquid they have down there before use. Just like the little spray bottles you can buy at the store to use before you poo haha

Ngl, this isn’t a terrible idea 🤔 porta potties smell like hell itself. Couldn’t be worse!

but if they put the litter that hides the odor at like the bottom of a toilet i'm confused how that wouldn't work

Because the waste has to be covered with the litter to block the odor. If it just sits on top it isn’t doing anything.
