Libs be like : Charlie Kirk was just some guy, all these other victims deserve more support. (Which I understand to some extent, any victim deserves recognition) However if Taylor Swift got popped, I GUARANTEE yall would not be making the same argument

I don’t even like Taylor swift much but be fr a man who goes around rage baiting college students for a living is not the same as some singer 😭 anyways idc either way I think that it’s more alarming that school shootings are happening so regularly and are given a sliver of the attention of this guy.

Mind you, most “libs” hate her for driving her private jet around all day and being a millionaire so idk about that.

He was a racist who belittled gun violence and then died bc of gun violence. The sheer irony there makes it hard to take some of his fans seriously

Said that the civil rights movement was a mistake, said mlk was a terrible person who only stood for one thing that he didn’t really believe in, repeated baseless claims about black professionals being unqualified due to DEI… etc

All of those statements are either fabricated or taken out of context.

He definitively won the debate about trans radical violence, now and forever that debate and the reaction to it can be pointed to as a complete unmasking of not only trans extremism, but the true feelings of the mainstream left about free speech and the right of the other side to disagree.

None of them are fabricated but some might be missing context. If you have the context would you mind clarifying what he meant by these things then?

Well, a perusal of the notorious right wing website… fact check.org will show that Charlie Kirk wasn’t opposed to civil rights, he was opposed to the implementation of the civil rights act, namely the desperate impact standard. Which is NOT the same thing as opposing civil rights.

And it’s not a baseless claim that DEI hires are under qualified. By definition DEI can be implemented in two ways. 1 finding the number of minority candidates who are qualified and restricting the size of the organization to where those qualified candidates equal the required percentage of the workforce. See the LA fire department for how that went.

2. Lowering the standard for minority candidates until the correct percentage pass under the new lower standards.

Since option 1 normally results in an artificially small workforce unable to keep up with staffing requirements, option 2 is the most common. Which is why black students have SAT/ACT scores 30% lower than white students at places like elite universities.

Now let’s imagine you and I are in a race, and since I’m not very interested in athletics I can only run 70% as fast as you. Wouldn’t it be fair to say I am less qualified to represent the country in the Olympics? That’s not saying that black people intrinsically score 30% lower, as a matter of fact there are hundreds of black students who clear the standard on merit.

But it is saying that ON AVERAGE, those DEI students are the beneficiaries of racist admissions practices.

And if they get a job or are afforded an opportunity based on the perceived integrity of that degree they are intrinsically under qualified compared to the people they beat out for that position. In short, DEI typically means under qualified.

As for the “MLK was a terrible person” question. All we have is the word of a reporter from wired. Believe it or don’t, but like the rest of what he said it’s almost certainly misleading or simply fabricated.

Definitely didn’t belittle gun violence. He had a realistic viewpoint on gun violence if you listened to what he said.
