I had to make one because of one of my classes in college, I haven’t used it once.

It is something employers look at, and it's the most professional way to get an overview of your academic life that's more then just a resume. Very helpful for networking as well, if you have strong feelings about your info online then you already have your choice set, but it will be helpful in your career and getting a job
