The first razors for women didn’t come out until 1915 and prior to that pretty much only men shaved. Shaving didn’t become a standard practice until the 1940s, this social standard has only been practiced for 75 ish years. Before that, there was 40,000 years of bush. Those people (who make up the majority of humans) would have been weirded out if they saw bare labias.

The fact that you are confused by women who don’t shave is actually a very interesting to me. It proves that a persons environment really does influence so much about their social knowledge and expectations. It’s not a bad thing to have a preference for shaved skin but I hope you can be respectful of everyone’s choice. At the end of the day if you get a chance to be intimate with someone I don’t think a little hair will be a big deterrent.
