better to clear a medium amount of snow/ice off your car two times than clear a huge amount of snow/ice one time

Id think that its better to let the rain freeze on top of the snow, than directly on the glass and door seams, then its just like brushing off snow intead of scraping ice

it doesn't neatly layer like that, it just turns the whole thing into a giant crust of ice
