No the reason you’re not getting better is because you’re telling them you’re fine when you’re not

They know. And they have been analyzing why you don’t want to talk about it

One of the main rules in any specialized psychological professional is that lots of truths are lies that don’t need to be pushed. Just tell them you weren’t sure before and now you wanna try something different out, they could already have their speculations about what you say

I go to my psych for adhd meds, she’s not my therapist. We talk for roughly 15 minutes each month just to check in on how the meds are working. I previously thought that I didn’t need depression meds but now I’m reconsidering

then honestly you should just say that exactly. "I previously thought I didn't need depression meds but I'm reconsidering. Would you be able to help me with that?"

I promise you they don’t, they take you at your word and move on. Because they’re at work getting through the day just like everybody else
