the knicks haven’t won a championship since the 70s, so it’s just nice to see

Because this is their first win since ‘73 and because New York City is doing better with Mamdani and energy is better.

1) the Knicks have indeed already won 2) as someone who doesn’t care about basketball, it’s partially because I like Mamdani but also because New York has had such incredible energy recently it makes me hopeful for the country.
