Fake it till you make it. It’s hard to retrain the voice in your head and takes constant effort to correct

identify what you hate about yourself, then go and fix it. maybe it’s a quick fix, maybe it’ll take 10 years. the time will pass anyway, the difference is what you do with it. i used to hate how skinny i was. i’m still working on it, but i’m up over 30lbs (mostly muscle) from where i started and it has completely changed my life. i feel more confident, i get more attention, and i generally just feel healthier now. it’s not easy, but to say it’s worth it would be an understatement.

Honestly i started taking more care of myself and taking more cute photos of myself. Being around others who never judge you for being you and in general try to not care about what others think as much

Think about all the way you are succeeding. For myself, when I feel down, I remind myself that I’m not a drug addict, an alcoholic, I’m in good shape, I’m in good health, and I have financial flexibility. I am incredibly lucky, and have a lot of things going for me

Yeah, well, sorry to say this, but it doesn't work that way for everything. I’m a trans guy, so there is only so much I can do to feel comfortable, but even if I do manage to get top surgery that costs an arm and a leg, I still don't think it would help everything.

Is it then more of a how you perceive yourself or how others perceive you

It's definitely a mix of both, and it’s also just being stuck in a situation that can't physically change.

Ah. I hope it gets better in time. All I can really say is if you find a decent group of guys to be around then at some point they’ll treat you like one of them (interpreting trans man as transmasc)

To each their own. Tbh id consider it but after a whole semester long thing dealing with somebody being incredibly zealous about how I should try it to the point of repeatedly breaking boundaries, I think it wouldn’t be it
