Science has shown when a trans person is taking hormones and transitioning they match the the gender they identify as when it comes to things like strength and endurance

I don’t understand why people like you can’t mind their own fucking business instead of trying to terrorise a minority not harming anyone.

Bc who cares and also it’s not like they’re winning anyway lmao. Name one trans athlete who won

Well how many people gotta compete against these “4 people” it’s just not fair and I can’t see a single justification

If you find it unfair, attack the sports agencies allowing it. It’s their jurisdiction. Not the federal government. Giving them power over who can join what clubs and teams is NOT a good precedent to set

I agree with that but I’m not attacking anyone, just wondering what people’s justification for it is

Generally the justification is that after several years of hormone therapy, transgender women have equal or sometimes even less muscle mass than cisgender (meaning non-trans) women do. Hormone therapy is essentially a second puberty. It changes your body completely. Most transgender women are not getting the types of advantages people imagine they are in women’s sports.

but not when it comes to the actual structure of their body and bone density, which does play a huge factor in athleticism

That’s like not allowing a Samoan boxer to go against a Vietnamese boxer

bro… looking at dna and bone structure you can tell a man from a woman. having different genetics based on global regions is different from being a whole different sex

This is not, in fact, a huge factor in athleticism. I would wager are many more differences among cis women athletes than between your average trans woman 2 years on HRT Bone structure is one thing, but muscles and even ligaments change in response to hormones, which affects frame a lot too. And you can’t say height, because tall women are selected for in things like basketball and volleyball, not banned.

HRT doesn’t affect lung size or other biological advances that males have over females. Males have 12 to 25% larger lungs than females of the same height. Larger lungs means more oxygen supplied to muscles which means more exertion with less fatigue. I wonder which sports that would give an advantage in?🤔 oh wait.

I have a biological advantage over your dad when it comes to pleasing your mother. You should call her. I reassured her that she’s a good mother even though she raised someone like you 🥀

I have both lived experience and unless either of you is a physician, kinesiologist, or endocrinologist, I am certain I have better scientific literacy than you. I genuinely am writing to you in between studying. You could easily be asking me questions or seeking to understand, and I’d be happy to converse. But as it stands, why would I take this conversation seriously if you’re not?

I’m tired of hearing about “chromosomes” and “DNA” and “hormones” from people who don’t understand it to the degree which is necessary to discuss it, its variations, and what impacts they should and do have, socially legally and medically. We have people arguing for “basic biology” who think women have an extra rib. It gets to a point.

You’re claiming to be scientifically literate ,but when present with verifiable facts you tried to insult my parents with a childish joke. Please forgive us for not believing you. It’s objectively unfair for males (on hormone therapy or not) to compete competitively with females in physically demanding sports. I presented you with simple logic, so I’m shocked that you’re unable to comprehend it. Or honestly not very shocked at all. Please study hard! It seems it may be extremely necessary!
