Unless you were crossing some serious boundaries or genuinely treating that friend like a significant other, than no ur not the asshole and it is very controlling to tell someone they can’t see their close childhood friend.

Tbh without us knowing all three of y’all it’s hard to say. She could be crazy or y’all could be emotionally cheating. Or maybe the friend and you are too flirty but you guys see it as platonic. It just depends.
