For kissing, no, that's usually pretty obvious ime. For sex all it takes is a quick "You okay with this?" to be sure and that is very worth it

I do but that’s because I’m a very nervous person and I’m terrified I’d pressure them. But also I ca be kinda oblivious so it’s extra reassurance

Yes my partner and I do. Even when we include extras or do poly stuff. We’ve both gotten at least one person that’s been shocked by us asking. Then confused why we reminded them to tell us if anything bothers them.
