historically men were providers and that was enough because women didn’t have access to resources for various reasons, but my the question is what do men do now? Ik online gender stuff is triggering so I’m sorry, I’m genuinely just curious

Well, the roles between men and women have become far closer to each other than in the past. Many still live the provider for stay at home sort of dynamic, but really, i’m confused about the question. A person should be loved for who they are, not what they do, regardless of gender

We provide emotional stability and comfort. We also, in ideal situations, still provide as women generally don't prefer to work when given the choice.

you’re applying one personal experience your mom has to every relationship in the world. my man is my biggest supporter and makes every day of my life easier. but i won’t apply that to every relationship in the world and call that reality. it all depends on the person.

Sure, but then when we’re getting to specifics at that level it’s not based on gender at all. If there is genuine love, support and care and effort will be reciprocated naturally

I get your point, but maybe that’s just his life experience? I’m ngl as a girl most of the women I’ve met would love to not have to work if money wasn’t an issue. But at the same time you still want to be able to work if needs be

I’m a woman and the majority of my friend group would prefer to work rather than being a sahm 😭 please don’t make generalizing comments dehumanizing an entire group of people, especially when you don’t know what you’re talking about 🥀
