It’s considered wrong by people who don’t understand abuse. Adults think you owe them something because they birthed you. If someone treats you like shit leave they want you to feel guilty because that’s the only reason your stay. Ignorance and lack or critical thinking skills are what plague most of society and that includes people thinking leaving abusive family is bad

I’ve been wanting to go no contact with my family because of abuse too. People who never had that experience well unfortunately never understand. But it’s better to do what you feel is best for you.
