Take your ass to therapy

hey, I’ve had severe anxiety since I was three years old. Of course, therapy helps. In addition, make your life as predictable as possible (in a healthy way). Little morning/night routines give me stability, and also becoming more comfortable with openly talking about what makes you anxious

I had this happen to me about a year ago. The only thing that “cured” it was taking the time to take care of myself and not push things that didn’t need to be pushed. When I felt like I could go back in public again, I got meds for support always with the end goal being to wean off of them. Almost 2 years later I still have issues with my anxiety but big panic attacks only come on once in a while and are much more manageable now that I have it down to a science. You’ve got this!

Just don’t think about it

in that case, I just say to myself “shit, it’s a panic attack,” get myself to a quiet space, let it pass through, and then treat the rest of my day with a bit more emotional caution

I think of it like “emotional antibiotics” in a sense. The panic attacks washes out all your stress in a big wave, and your mental “immune system” is kinda stripped after that, but can rebuild… plus, it’s comforting to know that we physically can’t keep *infinitely* getting more stressed
