I found a company that covered my grad school as long as I stayed time and a half after. I’m done and nearly debt free

You did it wrong, I got my masters and only owe 4k right now and I’m keeping it for good credit. What did you do??

I’m trying to explain this to my family. Like sure, I could get scholarships and research grants to get my masters. But I’d have to move out of state, and take out private loans to pay for housing and groceries bc the work study to pay for college wouldn’t cover anything else. It’s not financially responsible to go to grad school rn. I could get a state job and have them pay for it in a few years though

I sell cars and make 200K and it’s easy. Just chill and hang out with customers. Why you doing all that work?

I take out 26k every semester in loans. My school ain't cheap and fafsa gives nothing. She wants me to stay in my school but they don't offer graduate housing and I only have $3 to my name

Mine wasn’t either lol I still made that shit work. You shouldn’t be paying for grad school, you should’ve been working in your field or interning so you’d be ready for the next step

Like I even suggested taking a gap year and she's so fucking insistent. Saying money isn't a problem. I have these loans and im gonna have to have more for grad school. AND and apt. Like I dont want to be in debt forever. And I dont even need grad school

If she’s not paying for it she has zero say in it. Get rude. It’s your life, you get to decide how to live it

Once i can afford to live on my own. I literally have no money or car. And I can't get on campus jobs without a federal work study. I hate my life

I live in New York. Like 30 min north of Albany. The only labs around are in Albany and its basically only state police which doesn't pay shit.

That makes sense. I really do hope you make good money. 140K is a lot of debt.
