They play an instrument, don’t understand any pop culture references, have read a lot of obscure books growing up, don’t like large groups, and they like to joke about how they graduated “top of their class”.

My mother was homeschooled to her 10th year. Most could tell by her spelling, words she used and knew, and how much she seeked to be apart things like drama. Although completely different my friends are homeschooling their child. You can tell cause she like two times smarter than kids her age. She talks like an adult cause everyone around her is an adult. She has tons of social awareness to for her age. She observes everything.

It’s become a lot harder to tell now that the homeschool community is so diverse. Lack of pop culture knowledge can be a good indicator, though.
