Ignore them, develop financial independence by getting my own bank account they can’t see, making all paychecks go there direct deposit, buy my own car and phone, and eventually get an apartment. (It works great trust)

That’s why you *don’t tell them*. And if they kick you out, you do have legal options but if you’re not willing to get a bank account I doubt you’re willing to sue your parents or have them criminally charged for anything

they may not have the resources to rehouse you, but they do have people you can talk to for advice and probably even help you get financials set up privately

Right it really *is*. The hard part is getting over your crippling need to appease your parents and keep the peace, which is not your job. The hard part is building the confidence to make the hard choice to choose yourself. Choosing independence and freedom over the security of housing and financial support they provide. The easy part is actually doing it

If you’re concerned for their safety you call the authorities (police, CPS, or adult protective services if they’re not minors). You don’t take the burden
