Why oh why did my obgyn forget to mention that the iud I was getting causes women to get it inserted during their period to have that period for an average of two months! 🫪 why is she only mentioning that now, three weeks later!!!?

Cause health care sucks for women. You’re lucky she didn’t tell you to lose weight and the root cause is anxiety

i mean it’s bad she didn’t tell you but also you’re getting a foreign object out into you so breakthrough bleeding and spotting were bound to happen while your body restabilizes itself to the hormone production, unless you’re talking about the copper one because yeah that one literally only stops going back to normal after month 3

I mean she’s been great so far other than that one thing 😭 I don’t want to have to wait another 6 months to get a new patient appointment with another doctor!

I’m relatively picky (want a woman as my obgyn) and my insurance “rates “ the doctors it likes best by making them the cheapest for me. And the “best” female had a 6 month wait and the next best one had like a month wait but her copay was like 40 dollars more expensive than the six month wait chick

I mean I get that but it would’ve been nice to here from my doctor before I got it inserted 🤷‍♀️
