Some people are healing. Others are diving farther into the hate.

I don’t mind people having a generally conservative or progressive/liberal view on the world, but what really gets me is when people are too stupid to realize they are voting for the opposite of what they claim to want. Like all the people voting for “the economy” in the last election. What is “the economy” specifically and how do you benefit from it personally? Did any of this happen so far or will it likely happen? Of course not.. There are so many examples of just extremely low education….

And don’t give them the empathy they want…let them figure it out like we did

The pendulum always swings. Democrats won with Biden and there was backlash, especially toward the end of the administration. Republicans had a big victory to swing it back in their favor. Now there’s backlash to the Republican administration and the pendulum will swing back to the Democrats. Definitely a failure of the two-party system to have such polarity in ideologies wrestling for control and failing to find compromises that benefit the people

hantavirus is not nearly as easily transmissible as covid was. it requires u to be in close contact for a sustained period of time to get it whereas covid travelled & could infect ppl a lot more easily. i dont anticipate it being nearly as bad or widespread

more ppl are anti establishment after seeing how both spineless parties are monomorphically invertible, and that both of them serve empire, and not the people. good that ppl are questioning cults, but this framing is reductive and hinges on both the normativity and futurity of the settler-colonial establishment

Nobody’s gonna ban you for using the word Nazi bud; the tik tok vernacular is really discrediting your point here

But the incubation period is 6 weeks so you can be spreading it unknowingly

you typically can't spread it during the incubation period

It is a similar virus to Covid though (RNA) and could easily mutate which is the BIGGEST worry. It could mutate to be more contagious

are you a chemist or have any experience with labs and viruses or did you get covid a couple of times and think you’re the person to spread misinformation in critical times

I got this information FROM a friend with a masters in biology who is following the news closely. Hantavirus is an RNA single strand virus same with Covid. The only difference is that Hantavirus is negative sense and Covid is Positive sense. So no. Not misinformation

And in case you didn’t know— an RNA virus can evolve very rapidly

you may know the words but i fear you do not have the context to understand what you're talking about. almost all viruses are single strand RNA viruses. COVID & hantavirus are very different viruses even if they are both within the category that also contains most common viruses

I’m not familiar with biology no but my friend literally has a masters and said that is could evolve to be more contagious and it’s something they have to watch for especially since the people infected back in the US have been ADVISED to quarantine but can’t be forced to. And we all know how quarantining went during covid so I’m pessimistic about our chances with it

^^^yes!!! Like the most current known update is it’s a mutated version of hanta that is transferable thru salvia/ airborne particles (which is how most human viruses spread so easily)

Honestly, considering the long incubation period I doubt we will be able to get a full scope on how dangerous it might be for another few weeks:(

everything ur saying is technically correct, & i do agree w/ ur point abt the US. i'm in a class abt US politics & science rn, just made a presentation on how RFK jr has gutted public health (specifically focused on vaccines so a lot abt how viruses work). i also took cell bio & ochem. so with that said i recommend you suggest your friend two papers:
