I don’t mind people having a generally conservative or progressive/liberal view on the world, but what really gets me is when people are too stupid to realize they are voting for the opposite of what they claim to want. Like all the people voting for “the economy” in the last election. What is “the economy” specifically and how do you benefit from it personally? Did any of this happen so far or will it likely happen? Of course not.. There are so many examples of just extremely low education….
The pendulum always swings. Democrats won with Biden and there was backlash, especially toward the end of the administration. Republicans had a big victory to swing it back in their favor. Now there’s backlash to the Republican administration and the pendulum will swing back to the Democrats. Definitely a failure of the two-party system to have such polarity in ideologies wrestling for control and failing to find compromises that benefit the people
more ppl are anti establishment after seeing how both spineless parties are monomorphically invertible, and that both of them serve empire, and not the people. good that ppl are questioning cults, but this framing is reductive and hinges on both the normativity and futurity of the settler-colonial establishment
I’m not familiar with biology no but my friend literally has a masters and said that is could evolve to be more contagious and it’s something they have to watch for especially since the people infected back in the US have been ADVISED to quarantine but can’t be forced to. And we all know how quarantining went during covid so I’m pessimistic about our chances with it
everything ur saying is technically correct, & i do agree w/ ur point abt the US. i'm in a class abt US politics & science rn, just made a presentation on how RFK jr has gutted public health (specifically focused on vaccines so a lot abt how viruses work). i also took cell bio & ochem. so with that said i recommend you suggest your friend two papers:
