“Where are you from?” Then follow up with “where are you really from?” Also “you don’t really look or sound like “x” ethnicity.”

Reminds me of how sometimes when my mom is telling me a story she’ll be like “ok so Angie, she’s black, did something” and the fact that she’s black has absolutely nothing to do with the story
