I mean, I see your point. I think the concept of a hear me out puts crushes like aliens and robots and monsters in boxes like “oh that’s not normal” even if it’s “normalized for the bit” it’s not truly seen as normal. I dunno. That’s the only real flaw I see with it. I have a bunch of weird crushes/characters I’d enjoy ‘loving’ ya know?

oh no i’m entirely okay with the concept, i make the jokes myself! it’s just that my friend kept making the jokes regarding me personally despite this person knowing extremely uncomfortable with it (and not to mention i’m heavily asexual)

i play that game with my friends wnd nobody has ever told me or anyone they’re a hear me out to their face, if they did i’d be pisseddddd. and i’ve never told anyone that to their face and never would, especially to a friend. and i am allosexual so it doesn’t even have that extra dimension for me. AND to do that when they KNOW it makes you uncomfortable?? that’s not a friend
