If you’re over like 150 or something you need to take two. Also could be because you’re stressed about it

You’re probably fine until after your next period

Plan B, when I take it, will typically cause my period to happen sooner. It almost speeds up the process and the shedding of the uterus, so if too much time passes and nothing happens…might wanna take a test.

I had the birth control implant

oh the i think you’re fine, takes longer for nexplanon to exit your system and your body is getting used to the new bc so you just need to let it take its time, if you’re taking your bc as directed then you’ll be fine don’t worry

how soon after he came in you did you take the levonorgestrel (plan b)?

Within an hour

then you’re fine, levonorgestrel is most effective within the first 72 hours so your body is just cleaning up what he did, you might just have some discharge but all of that is completely normal, you’ve taken all your precautions so you’ll be fine

Even if I could have possibly be ovulating

well nexplanon stops all of it so you might still have some active nexplanon in your body even if it’s been 2 months, so i doubt you were ovulating, women who get off the implant only usually see a period after 3 months, it’s completely natural as your body needs time to start your cycle again

if you’re really that freaked out then set up an appointment with your gyn an they’ll tell you if anything happened or if anything is out of the ordinary and yes they can even tell you if you were ovulating or not so more piece of mind to you

where are you getting your info from? you can’t take 2 it literally says not to, while weight does change the efficacy it’s never advised to take two

Yeah I mean it says it’s less effective I’d take two if I was bigger personally even though there might be more side effects

efficacy is not efficiency, it just takes longer for larger women to metabolize things therefore increasing the run time of it, it’s usually for people that only take it on the 3rd day and don’t know if it’ll work or not, not the case for op

Tbf every pharmacists I’ve ever known has said you need to take two over 150-170. There’s some mild debate over which

and the pamphlet on the medication label says on it not to take more than 1, pharmacologists study this stuff, while taking 2 is just for people who are paranoid, it only delays your period even farther out, like you think one plan b will fuck you up? 2 will put you out for 6 months, plus levonorgestrel isn’t dosed by weight

look up the info yourself, it’s not weight based dosing so therefore the claim has no meaning but whatever you do you

Not to panic, also, I don’t know your weight and don’t want to speak out of turn… but the commenters aren’t necessarily wrong. I work in ob/gyn research. There actually is evidence to suggest that Plan B starts to lose efficacy at about 165 lbs, while Ella doesn’t lose efficacy until about 195 lbs. If you Google Plan B vs. Ella there actually is a really good demographic about it available through GoodRx.

Ngl I completely forgot to send my screenshots of the published research on weight efficacy and emergency contraceptive pills but this comment sums it up pretty well

yeah ella is also very good it’s just ulipristal vs levonorgestrel, while ella is technically better it also requires a medical prescription, while plan b does not, they both have their positives and negatives but also work pretty similar since their side effects are similar

If it helps, stress is a known factor that delays ovulation. So, the stress is at least maybe helping lmfao
