Stop eating before you are full, get smaller plates and stuff (it kind of tricks the brain to think you are getting the same amount), limit what and how much you consider to be meals and snacks, drink at least a cup of water before eating (will fill you up faster), um that’s all I got for now {all tested and approved by yours truly, but if it doesn’t work for you I’m sorry 💔}
What my therapist told me and what really helped me, was just giving me permission to not eat everything on my plate. You don’t have to “make a happy plate”you can eat two bits of a granola bar and throw it away. Some people may deem it waste full but once you bite into that bar who else is going to eat it 🤷🏼♀️also smaller plates. Also when I start to get hungry in between meals I drink water and do something fun, I tend to eat bc I’m thirsty or bored.
Yeah exactly, regardless of if you’re throwing away or eating food that you do not want/feel too full for/is unnecessary, it’s waste either way. One way affects you negatively, one way does not. If you want, save and store the food for later but if you do have to throw it away there’s no shame in it cuz again it’s still waste if it’s affecting you negatively
