Serious: How would you feel if someone said that they would end their life because they didn’t get to achieve their dreams?

No judgement because I get it. What isn’t a big deal to some might be a big deal to others, if the pain they’re feeling is that immense then I don’t blame them for wanting that.

I’d feel terrible that our society has conditioned them to believe that their worth isn’t intrinsic and is instead something that has to be earned

In the nicest way, judging them so hard core. It’s so incredibly rare for someone to actually achieve their fullest dreams. To think you’re somehow the exception and that you’re the only one suffering to the point it’s time to leave the earth is just asinine. Get some therapy like the rest of us

I would feel very empathetic because I’m in the same boat, as someone with depression and suicidal ideation. I haven’t achieved anything either and it makes me want to die sometimes too

So is mine? I don’t even live in town limits. County department has a free mental health crisis team and there’s 4 centers within driving distance. Starting to see why your dreams failed. You put no effort into them and gave up and the first hurdle

Well there they can’t drive! The county doesn’t even have 1 center let alone 4. They tried to get someone to take them but no one wanted to do it.

THEN USE A DIFFERENT ONE. CALL BACK. You aren’t magically going to be fixed by someone else. YOU have to work towards getting better too. YOU have to make effort. You only get out of life what you put into it. And if you put nothing into it after the first setback then you get nothing out of it. You keep pushing forward. But that’s not something you can teach so I guess the convo is over. Good luck champ
