Find a friend who one of you can stay with temporarily, and who can pass along his stuff. Tell him why you’re breaking up, but don’t be overly mean about it. Do it somewhere somewhat public- I’ve done it in my car before. If he’s the type to plead, don’t give in. If you need to, write a script. Good luck, and I’m sorry bc this always sucks to do <3
what #1 said and be prepared for how it feels, i was not when i broke up with my first gf in a similar context, but it was something i needed to do for myself (and it was worth it). it’s a feeling that is similar to grief in my opinion. Surround yourself with friends and try to make a new routine prioritizing self care and kindness.
make sure you surround yourself with family and friends who can support you through this. Keep yourself busy busy busy. Like another comment said it genuinely is almost like grieving a death. Make sure you have somewhere to stay BEFORE you do it. Have a good plan in place and stick to it. It can be hard to actually go through with things in person as I’m sure you still care a lot for this person.Take care of yourself. This will be super hard but you will get through it❤️
it genuinely is one of the worst pains i’ve experienced and my body still has a traumatic response to the idea of a break up but trust me you will be okay. surround yourself with people who will support you and will never get tired of you talking about it. journal. eat. sleep. listen to you body and know that healing is an ebb and flow, not a direct line of progress. you’ve got this and i’m sorry queen
i was my now ex’s first everything, and he dumped me on our 2 yr anniversary. he was going through stuff mentally but is already w a new girl and we’ve barely been apart for a month. he said it was one of the hardest things he’s ever had to do, but didn’t want to string me along if he wasn’t confident in the relationship. on my end, i surround myself w people, let your emotions out when they come don’t suppress them, and just know it’ll be okay
