why does depression lead to me not being able to do my shit? i used to be able to do everything and keep up with school, but i just got diagnosed and it feels like a wall just appeared right in front of me
I would think that would be enough for you get yourself some help. That since you can't do anything for yourself anymore. You want to make sure that you can go back to that

You’re not disciplined, and now you have some asshole telling you that you have some clinical issue and probably throwing drugs at you. Outside of exceptional circumstances, you don’t need them. What is your daily screen time?

Every day is pretty great when you actually put the work into bettering yourself instead of trying to band-aid things with psychiatric meds (I’ve tried the former) You ought to try it too.

I happen to agree with you. However, the majority fall into my category. SSRIs only work in the short-term.

Ok, OP— ignore the red pill guy. Just keep going one day at a time. Meds can definitely help, but a routine will help you too. Start there.
