my brain can’t comprehend nothing after I pass, so it’s better to look at a different form of living instead of the nothingness

I’m not certain that there is a god but believing in one brings me a lot of comfort. When I was younger I prayed to get out of a very abusive situation and shortly after, I did. I like the idea of an afterlife where all the people and animals I’ve loved are, I hope I get to see them again.

I don't really follow any organized religion, but I feel like we're all connected... not necessarily by a higher power but by a power, and I like acknowledging that power and connectedness. I think the afterlife is a customizeable experience formed by our beliefs in our last moments (if you believe in nothing you'll experience nothing, if you believe in heaven you'll experience heaven, etc) that is both finite in time and infinite in the impression it leaves.

Hard to say exactly one reason but the first time I received ashes on Ash Wednesday I swear I felt something burning inside me (in a good way) I also think i saw an angel when I had a near death experience as a kid

Does believing in an entity higher than oneself considered religious?

Understood. So for me it’s faith based and things I’ve seen that had cemented my belief.

I get you. It’s the hope, like if we all die why not put yourself to morals you believe and live a good and hopeful life. I’m not religious but recently have been very curious because I need hope.
