i think my best friend is missing. idk wtf to do. i can’t get ahold of her or her family. her last known location was the hospital over 24 hours ago. i just wanna know if she’s okay.

So there's 5 possibilities: 1) she was injured & cannot reply 2) she's on a psych hold & they cannot share her info with u 3) she was released from psych but didn't take her phone (unlikely) 4) she's deceased (unlikely) 5) she's with an injured loved one & too distraught to respond (pretty unlikely but decently likely too. You know her best)

Yeah if that’s the case they wouldn’t give you any info on her since you’re not family and if she checked herself in then she would’ve needed to list you on the approved contact list before admission.

that makes so much sense actually. knowing her she probably wouldn’t have put anyone on the contact list. and i bet her phone would’ve been turned off for a hold. if that’s the case at least she’s safe.

when you check into the hospital they ask you how many people they're allowed to tell you're there. It's worth checking, but they might have to say the friend isn't there.
