Should I be concerned if my friend has made comments about “fattening me up” and tried to get me to eat more than I wanted? (This sounds so absurd but it just seemed off to me 🥲)

That have a feeder fetish…they want to see you at a certain weight and they will do there best to get you to that weight.

They could also just be really into a gym side of culture online and want to make sure you’re healthy

Had anyone asked how much this person weighs/ hit tall they are, before making judgements. Maybe they are under weight and the friend wants them healthier 🤷🏻‍♂️ not saying that is the case, but I’d rather not just come out of the gate throwing fetish theories

Could be or it could be really someone asking for help…I’ll always air on the side that someone actually needs help

no I'm in agreement with you that the person in the story has a fetish and is projecting it on OP. I'm saying that kind of person is usually here annoying us on YY and not talking about it to people they actually know

even if OP was underweight, making comments like "fatten you up" is so wildly inappropriate that the fetish theory makes way more sense

Yes but my friends have also said this to me and I know they don’t have a fetish, I’m also not even underweight. So I still think it could be less of an issue

I’m a very average weight for my height if a little on the thin side. After the first comment of them saying they needed to “fatten me up” I told them that it made me uncomfortable and mentioned that I previously had an unhealthy relationship with food in high school. They still make comments about it and at one point tried to get me to eat more than I was comfortable with. Idk it just feels off to me so I wanted to get some other perspectives 😭

yeah I have to imagine if it was just a friendly joke that came across wrong, you saying something about it one time would be enough to stop it. this seems like... not that
