Ur not allowed to use both, accutane itself is drying and more than enough. I was on accutane and my skin cleared and I never really washed my face.

i have a pretty intricate skincare routine right now, i wash in the morning and night and i moisturize a lot & use spot treatment stuff but nothing makes a dent. i always wake up with new whiteheads its so embarassing, u can see it even with concealer on

It might be hormonal then, which means you just gotta go see a dermatologist and try different things until it sicks. Acutane is what really helped me

Yeah ofc not simultaneously, or you could use a low % tret with a lot of moisturizer. It’s really about what your skin can handle and what works. When I was on acutane I was still able to put tret on my forehead bc it’s oily asf😭🥀

Don’t give up hope. In the meantime keep a clean simple cleansing routine nothing too harsh. Also get your hormone levels checked. I had the worst hormonal acne on one side of my face like cystic deep acne. My dr found that I had an imbalance.
