Do you think people will go through symptoms of withdrawal from social media? I recently went cold turkey for doom scrolling apps and have had an “unprovoked” resurgence in my anxiety, I don’t think it’s the main cause but I do wonder-

You used social media as a distraction from your anxious thoughts. Now that distraction isn’t there so you’re sitting with yourself more which is leading to a perceived increase in anxiety. Find a new healthier outlet. A calming hobby that you can focus on while doing it. Art, woodworking, etc. something where your mind AND body is working is best. It forced you to pay attention on the task at hand instead of over thinking.
