why are men so uncomfortable about periods or even just their normal bodily functions in general, i used to have a friend that would plug his ears when we talked about it. i know this isn’t all men but why do certain ones act like that?

Society norms and some never even learn about those things from their parents. Most parents do go talking about periods, facial upkeep, etc with their sons.

If you grow up with female siblings it’s little easier to be accepting to those things cause it’s more normal. If you grow up with all boys then not really normal conversation. Because boys pick on each other about everything. If you do slightest thing could get you called gay or other things. So instills a wall between certain topics

i thunk if ears are being plugged it’s probably because you’re describing “shitting or pissing” vulgarly in my opinion. my bf does it all the time, i don’t care, but i cant think of a time where a girl would plug her ears if someone was like “oh i have to poop or pee or some shit”
