Has anyone ever regretted moving out? I just moved out 2 weeks ago into my own house and I’m lowkey worried I made a mistake. I miss my family. I’m starting to second guess if living at home was so bad.

I felt weird for a few weeks then got used to it, personally i visited my fam a lot but didnt like living with their watchful eye lol

Yes, I have moved out then back home and out again and it is normal to feel this way. Find things to stay busy/get involved with locally like going to shows or joining clubs (not through nau necessarily but in flag generally) and make plans to see family so you have stuff to look forward to. I am a little older and still cry probably weekly because I miss my mom lmao

Yeah. I never had my own room at my house so I always wanted my own space, but now I’m like well fuck. 😭 I kinda miss it. I’m just gonna try to get used to it tho and enjoy what I’ve worked for.

Lowkey thinking about moving back home when my lease ends😭😭😭😭 hopefully I get more adjusted. I love my family and my routine I created with them. Sad face. But hopefully I’ll get used to it. Thank you guys for sharing that this is normal.

I think it’s a good idea to wait til your lease ends!! Give yourself time to build new routines and habits away from them but also I get it lol and I don’t think it’s a bad thing to wanna be close to ur fam. A lot of ppl arent so lucky to actually like their family and we are so yeah hold onto it

I have a year left 😭😭😭😭 whyyy ugh. I swear this was all I wanted for months and now I’m second guessing myself. I’m going to try to enjoy it, it’s not like it’s so bad to the point I’d break my lease or anything right now.

Yeah its difficult to get adjusted at first but you will figure out a new routine and you can always go back (as long as your parents let). I put on Welcome to Paradise by Green Day whenever I’m feeling like I’m missing home. Maybe take the time to explore something new or embrace the freedom that you weren’t able to do at your parents’? But the second guessing still stays sometimes in my experience. Maybe that’s just what it’s like being an adult?

Change is always scary, esp if you really like routines. You already know this but I’ll be another voice telling you to give yourself time! Learning to be on your own two feet and take care of yourself is so important! But if by the time the lease ends you still want to move back to your family home, there’s no shame in that at all! I would if I could just for money sake, but for my sanity (and the fact it’s 1300 miles away) I cant lol.
