In a general sense, it really depends on your interests. Botany is more life science and physics is more physical science. I’d do physics, but I’m uninterested by the life sciences. In general, I think physics is foundational to more things and botany is more specialized. But I don’t know how your school handles the specific classes
I feel like botany is easier than physics. Like biology is easy asf because it’s just memorization as opposed to a more math based science like chemistry. So I feel like if you don’t have a major interest in either class then pick the one that will be easiest to you. I got easy As in bio but I find chem interesting so even though I had to really buckle down to get that A, I still chose it.
To offer a different perspective, I think more mechanically, so physics was more intuitive than life sciences for me, so physics would be easier. I won’t comment on which course is more rigorous because that will vary by university and professor, and I also can’t comment on which is more intuitive because, as #3 astutely points out, some sciences are more math based. For me, I prefer relying on intuition and reasoning over memorization. (Sounds dismissive to life sciences. That’s not my intent.)
Nah I get it! I’m good at memorization so it’s easy to me but I’m also good at math so while that’s also easy I just don’t really enjoy it yk? Like I did chem because I enjoy the experiments and learning about chemical interactions and the why, but measurements & equations was just like the stepping stone to get to the cool stuff for me 😂 so you know yourself best & if you think physics will be the best option for you then good luck i hope get that A!!
