It may be personal experience but I associate “chubby” with being overweight. Like I said, might be from memories of personal experience since I went through a phase of being slightly overweight due to depression for about a year in my early teens, so while I ain’t going to shame anyone for it, I unfortunately do have something of a negative immediate thought about it.
