More sleep, water, and planning. Less drugs (but not dropping them entirely)

A friend told me that depression was a choice and I thought they were stupid asf at first, but when I looked at it as: ok I DO have a choice to do the easy thing and lay down, OR I can get up and get sunlight and exercise. That put the onus on me and not the depression. Since then I haven’t been depressed. If I start to feel myself getting low then I go exercise or go get sunlights and stuff. I also keep a good sleep schedule so that I’m awake during daylight hours.
