I have wavy hair, but why is it still so large when I straighten it. My hair is not very thick so why doesn’t it lay flat like people with straight hair? What am I doing wrong?

I like to use a smoothing heat protectant, you also may be doing chunks that are too big, try to make the pieces 1inch or less and use a brush while youre doing your hair it’s called “chasing” - best of luck :)
