Any advice on getting the HOA to reimburse her?

I mean I would try approaching them and explaining what happened and asking why it was reported as abandoned? I’ve never been in an HOA but from hearing how much of a pain they are I’m sure they probably ask for the resident’s license plate or something so they’d know it was your friends car no? I’d also try figuring out who reported it if it was the HOA or another resident?

So it turns out it was the HOA that reported it. There was a warning she missed. Still so stupid cause they said it was abandoned because it was dirty and there was a rusted rotor
