CS major here, no. We are scientists by title, but we can still do things like “software engineering”. So sure, there’s aspects of engineering in CS, but CS and CENG are two different majors.

I don’t even think I understand what engineering is as a whole but it sounds technical as fuck so I’m gonna say yes

Another CS major here, it can depend. So with “computer science” that’s a LARGE field generally speaking. There might be some “engineering” in aspects or field of the circuitry aspect of it, but there’s just as much if not more algebraic and mathematical logic present. Also there’s something to be said about hardware versus software. Heck, my degree is in game development, I would consider what I do to be more physics or art than engineering or science lol
