If you’re asexual is it wrong for you to refuse to compromise with your partner and refuse to allow them to watch any porn at all if you guys don’t even have sex very often? Or is it better to break up if you can’t find common ground

If one party is asexual, that doesn’t mean the other party stops being sexual. The sexual partner will still need some way to express sexuality — if the asexual party doesn’t even want them watching porn then I’m not sure if there’s a fair compromise. They sound incompatible.

wait genuine question, why would being asexual mean your partner can't watch porn?

Asexuality is a choice and lifestyle you want respected. Not allowing your partner to express their choice is not good. If you aren’t not able to provide an outlet, it’s no right to block them off from expressing themselves. If you want someone to not watch porn find a new partner..

I know someone who’s ace who banned their partner from watching porn, and like I know everyone has boundaries but like it doesn’t feel fair to not compromise with them. But it’s not my relationship and not my place to tell them what to do with theirs. I wanted to discus it on here though.

is the no porn related to the person's asexuality or is it just their personal preference?

It’s related to their partner wanting more sex and not being allowed any outlet for that including a way to masturbate with pictures. Imo it’s selfish and beyond personal preference

if it bothers them, they should break up or talk about it. if it doesn't bother them, who cares?

I just think it’s controlling and insecure tbh

Asexuality is not a choice, but I agree with everything else
