I’m 23, pushing off a college lab because I got a D in high school chem and I tried so so so hard. The D was just because my teacher saw my efforts and decided to not fail me. Obviously I wouldn’t see that in college

I liked chemistry and was really good at it in high school until my teacher never came back from winter break and we stopped learning the rest of the material…

Honestly, I’ve had professors that are willing to work with you if you’re honest about struggling and see them before things go completely awry. Effort does take you a long way🫶

This actually helps a lot. It’s my first year at a pretty well known college (after an associates) yet I’ve pushed all my labs off because of this concern. I definitely feel a lot more confident after your comment. Hugs.
