It’s scary because nobody in my family has deep connections like we don’t share our traumas or talk deep about life or get into dramatic convos about things we disagree with on each other, we just have surface level relationships and it’s starting to feel lonely

Every family gathering is an opportunity to help your family with little things. Hear what’s going on in their lives, hopes, dreams, plans, goals. Nobody is going to look out for you like your family will so do your best to take care of them and hopefully they will be able to do the same.

My grandparents all go to Florida from like Halloween through Easter so I never have them anymore 😭

It is awkward cause you don’t feel like you mesh with them most of the time..You honestly could mesh well with another family. 😔😭😂

My parents got divorced, so now I have to spend more time driving than being at family gatherings to make both sides happy.

Thats why holidays are so ironic. Everyone talks about it’s a time of family and closeness but really everyone is stressed and bickering. It really shows how selfish society is
