I think the is actions on Venezuela and Iran are more about preventing China from invading Taiwan than anything else. Same with the Panama Canal issue. All of this is leverage for Trump Xi meeting this spring.

Because installing our own regime gets the US cheaper access to oil(in theory) and/or allows us to shut out competition. Unfortunately, the US does not have a good track record for installing governments and those at the top dont care about innocents enough to maybe not totally cripple a country and then install a “prone to corruption” government.

Those were extremist individuals, extremism was rampant in Saudi Arabia among young men at the time due to high unemployment rates. Saudi Arabia has historically been against radical Islam, such as taking the Grand Mosque in Mecca back from them via military force

Yeah but the US has the most reserves. The attack on Iran was for political influence in the region as an attempt to put a stop to the middle eastern cold war (to favor the Saudi-Israeli-US group)

That is cope and is in no way true. If anything, it’s telling xi that he can take Taiwan because USA can take Venezuela and Israel can take Iran.

China needs oil to invade Taiwan and gets it from Russia and Iran and Venezuela. The USA and China are in a techno-economic war and Taiwan has advanced tech capabilities that would greatly help China have supremacy over the USA. The vast majority of the U.S. military believes China will invade Taiwan in 2026 or soon thereafter, not the least because China has said this for years.

The USA is the worlds largest exporter of oil and natural gas. We have plenty.
