that's how you get demons, but I have a book about conjuring spirits that describes the process of creating a spirit, and in theory you could have that inhabit the doll

I use the ritual preparation/protection/closing circle stuff in it all the time, and the things it said about how to identify spirits you're in contact with has come in handy. Mostly it's about deities instead of what I expected which was like human spirits, but it was super helpful in practicing safely.

Thanks. I've had wonderful experiences with deities in the past, about a year and a half ago I was doing rituals and prayers every day and night to the goddess Nemesis and she helped me a lot with a huge favor. The book looks interesting even if it's not exactly what I'm looking for.
