correct although your gift giving shouldn’t be dependent on whether they got you one or not. gifts should come from the heart not from a feeling of obligation

but it hurts that i buy so much stuff for my friends during holidays and i never get anything back, makes me want to stop

yeah, i mean unless you are ballin out 💸💸💸 i think it’s perfectly fine to categorize some friends as “we don’t exchange gifts but we’re cool” 😂 like personally im not rich enough to buy all my friends and family gifts but if i know something in particular i want to give them or they are really close to me then maybe i will. but yeah if i never get anything from them ill just put them in that no gift category
