Homophobia is still systemic to thus taught and learned by individuals regardless of religion. I supposed the answer is more nuanced then simply “god says homosexuality bad so I think homosexuality bad,” but I doubt it’s often more complicated then, “I don’t understand homosexuality and it makes me uncomfortable and my friends act like it’s bad so it must be bad.”
