
Honestly there’s not much you can do to stop comparing yourself to them and trying to focus on you, which is way easier said than done. You’re both obviously at two different points in your life and that’s ok, but it really does suck to feel behind or like you’re not doing good enough. Maybe some distance between the two of you would help, not like cutting the person off completely, but just taking some time and space to prioritize your own stuff instead of constantly hearing about their life.
Ofc, I get like that too sometimes with my friends and people in general. It’s hard to remember that you’re not alone in your struggles and that you’re right where YOU need to be. They’re probably just as lost as you are, just at a different point. I personally feel like the more you surround yourself with it, the worse it gets.
