As a man, this is 100% it. We are often told boys don’t cry from a young age, among skipping many other things that are mentally healthy for you. Especially the older they get, the more likely this is true. I got repeatedly called gay for keeping a journal in middle school.

Sadly I did not. However I began journaling again about 2 years ago after a breakup. I just needed someone to talk to at that time and I didn’t feel like my friends were good listeners. Soon I rediscovered that letting my thoughts flow helped me process and understand my emotions much better

nah it’s way more nurture than nature. biological predisposition doesn’t make up for the practice and cultivation emotional intelligence takes
